Electric motors in a power range of 4.0 kW - 500 kW
JS-Technik GmbH is specialized on a wide range of challenges in the professional drive technology field with a focus on electric motors, frequency inverters and geared motors. On this page, you will find a selection of electric motors in grey cast iron design of the size 160 - 355 and with powers of 4 kW, 5.5 kW, 7.5 kW, 11 kW, 15 kW, 18.5 kW, 22 kW, 30 kW, 37 kW, 55 kW, 75 kW, 90 kW, 110 kW, 160 kW, 200 kW, 250 kW, 315 kW, 355 kW, 400 kW, 450 kW, 500 kW. These motors are available in various speeds, i.e. motors with pole numbers of 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10. For three-phase motors, the rated voltage has been extended from 380V to 400V.
Electric motor duty cycles
You can purchase JS drive systems with the following duty ratings: S1 (continuous duty), S2 (short time duty), S3 (intermittent periodic duty without starting, without braking), S4 (intermittent periodic duty with starting, without braking), S5 (intermittent periodic duty with electric braking, with starting), S6 (continuous operation with intermittent load = period at load followed by a period at no load without motor stopping), S7 (continuous operation with electric braking), S8 (continuous operation with periodic changes in load and speed).
Construction type and terminal box
If desired, the construction type of JS motors is variable. Even for AC motors in heavy design, i.e. from 4 kW to 500 kW, the feet of the motor can be modified. Hence, a B3 foot motor can also be converted to a B5 flange motor or to a B4/B5 foot/flange motor. Another advantage is that the drive system can be modified towards a system with terminal box at the top, on the left side, on the right side or even at the bottom.
Efficiency classes for asynchronous motors
You can also purchase JS energy-saving motors in IE3. The most important efficiency classes are IE1, IE2 and IE3. The legal requirements of minimum efficiency are as follows: Since 16 June 2011, the minimum efficiency of motors (0.75 kW - 375 kW) must be in compliance with the efficiency IE2. Since 1 January 2015, the minimum efficiency of motors (7.5 kW - 375 kW) must be in compliance with the efficiency IE2, or the motors must be operated as IE3 with frequency inverter. Since 1 January 2017, the minimum efficiency of motors (0.75 kW - 375 kW) must be in compliance with the efficiency IE2, or the motors must be operated as IE3 with frequency inverter.
Your electric motors specialist
In many cases, electric motors are needed to be designed to customer’s individual requirements. With our qualified personnel, our large stock of motors and gearboxes and our own final assembly, we are a perfect partner for businesses that need external expertise in a large spectrum of issues – whether it is a specific brake motor, circular saw motor, electric motor with frequency inverter, motors with a variable number of poles or reduced-size progressive motors. Moreover, our large stock of worm gearboxes + electric motors allows us to ensure particularly short delivery times.
Special AC- Motors
An electric drive system can also be equipped with miscellaneous extras. Here we modify and adapt the output shaft, the axle height, the foot dimensions, a particular bearing, a non-return device, the terminal box or a speed monitoring system. In addition, we install a temperature monitoring system with PT100, PTC thermistor or thermal sensor. It is also possible to implement different degrees of protection such as IP54, IP55, IP56, IP65, tropical insulation, special winding, specific voltage, rain protection cover, heating during stoppage, cooling with external fan, and many more.
