Progressive electric motors

JS-Technik GmbH is your specialist in the field of professional drive technology. The focus is on high-quality asynchronous motors, frequency converters and gear motors. We supply progressive electric motors, so in a reduced design, in the speeds 750 rpm, 1000 rpm, 1500 rpm, 3000 rpm, in all common types and with many extras such as: Tachogenerator, incremental encoder, absolute encoder, encoders, forced cooling fan, stationary heating and much more. As progressive, three-phase motors are called electric motors with increased power in a smaller housing. In tight environments, where a standard three-phase motor does not have enough space, the progressive design is a sensible solution. Progressive or high-output electric motors are also frequently used in hydraulic pumps.

Axle heights and power ranges of AC motors

Here you find a selection of electric motors in aluminium design in sizes of 56, 63, 71, 80, 90, 100, 112 and 132 and with powers of
0.06 kW, 0,09kW, 0.12kW, 0.25 kW, 0.37 kW, 0.55 kW, 0.75 kW, 1.1 kW, 1.5 kW, 2.2 kW, 3.0 kW, 4 kW, 5.5 kW and 7.5 kW. These motors are available in various speeds, i.e. motors with pole numbers of 2, 4, 6 and 8. The terminal box is typically located at the top, but it can be varied because the feet are detachable.

Electric motor duty cycles

You can purchase JS drive systems with the following duty ratings: S1 (continuous duty), S2 (short time duty), S3 (intermittent periodic duty without starting, without braking), S4 (intermittent periodic duty with starting, without braking), S5 (intermittent periodic duty with electric braking, with starting), S6 (continuous operation with intermittent load = period at load followed by a period at no load without motor stopping), S7 (continuous operation with electric braking), S8 (continuous operation with periodic changes in load and speed).

Construction type and terminal box

If desired, the construction type of JS motors is variable.  Also for light-duty AC motors, i.e. from 0.06 kW to 7.5 kW, the feet of the motor can be modified. Hence, a B3 foot motor can also be converted to a B5 flange motor or to a B4/B5 foot/flange motor. Another advantage is that the drive system can be modified towards a system with terminal box at the top, on the left side, on the right side or even at the bottom.

Efficiency classes for asynchronous motors

You can also purchase JS energy-saving motors in IE3. The most important efficiency classes are IE1, IE2 and IE3. The legal requirements of minimum efficiency are as follows: Since 16 June 2011, the minimum efficiency of motors (0.75 kW - 375 kW) must be in compliance with the efficiency IE2. Since 1 January 2015, the minimum efficiency of motors (7.5 kW - 375 kW) must be in compliance with the efficiency IE2, or the motors must be operated as IE3 with frequency inverter.  Since 1 January 2017, the minimum efficiency of motors (0.75 kW - 375 kW must be in compliance with the efficiency IE2, or the motors must be operated as IE3 with frequency inverter.
