Brake motors in a power range of 0.12 kW - 110 kW

JS-Technik GmbH is specialized on a wide range of challenges in the professional drive technology field with a focus on electric brake motors, frequency inverters and geared motors. We supply brake motors with speeds of 750 rpm, 1000 rpm, 1500 rpm, 3000 rpm. They are available in all common types of construction, with tacho-generator, incremental encoder, absolute encoder, rotary encoder, external fan, bearing temperature monitoring as well as heating during stoppage. The brake motor can also be equipped with an optional hand release.

On this page, you will find a selection of AC motors in aluminium or grey-cast iron design with spring-loaded brake. Aluminium brake motors are available in sizes of 63 - 132 and with powers of 0.12 kW, 0.25 kW, 0.37 kW, 0.55 kW, 0.75 kW, 1.1 kW, 1.5 kW, 2.2 kW, 3.0 kW, 4.0 kW, 5.5 kW and 7.5 kW. Die-cast brake motors are offered in sizes of 132 - 315 and with powers of 11.0 kW, 15.0 kW, 18.5 kW, 22.0 kW, 30.0 kW, 45.0 kW, 55.0 kW, 75.0 kW, 90.0 kW and 110.0 kW.

Electric motor duty cycles

You can purchase JS drive systems with the following duty ratings: S1 (continuous duty), S2 (short time duty), S3 (intermittent periodic duty without starting, without braking), S4 (intermittent periodic duty with starting, without braking), S5 (intermittent periodic duty with electric braking, with starting), S6 (continuous operation with intermittent load = period at load followed by a period at no load without motor stopping), S7 (continuous operation with electric braking), S8 (continuous operation with periodic changes in load and speed).

Construction type and terminal box

If desired, the construction type of JS motors is variable. Also for AC motors in heavy design, i.e. from 4 kW to 315 kW, the feet of the motor can be modified. Hence, a B3 foot motor can also be converted to a B5 flange motor or to a B34/B35 foot/flange motor. Another advantage is that the drive system can be modified towards a system with terminal box at the top, on the left side, on the right side or even at the bottom.

IE3+ IE4 motors

You can purchase JS energy-saving motors in IE3 and also in IE4. In many cases, electric motors with brake are needed to be designed to match customer's individual requirements.
